"The state’s right-to-repair act stands out because it extends how long companies are required to provide access to repair materials."

The Story continued...

In this fight for justice, we have attended and spoken at board meetings twice a month, consistently, only missing one or two in total since we began to address this issue in September 2022.

During our search for data, videos, and information there was a challenge in finding the meetings recorded by the board, so we opted to check the Merced County Facebook page for those videos. After reviewing the footage posted on Facebook, we discovered that there were multiple videos that were not posted which included us speaking up for this issue in particular. However, we did locate the official links for the board meeting videos, which you can find here:

On May 31st 2023, a Town Hall meeting was held. During this meeting, the board changed what was posted as a Town Hall meeting into a regular board meeting on the spot. This change resulted in physical attendees not being able to speak publicly or ask questions. However, they did allow those who were not present to submit questions online and by phone, setting a double standard. Not only did this create a double standard, but this change also violated The Brown Act.

As time goes on, we will continue to add additional emails and videos.
